Hi all!!!

May is here and the temperature is rising, so this post is about a delicious and refreshing appetizer; the one and only Traditional Cretan Dakos (or Ntakos). It is a popular Greek dish, also known as koukouvayia and it is a simple meze that will accompany your ouzo or tsipouro!

Simplicity is what this food is about! Fresh, vegetarian, light and, above all, yummy. This dish can be enjoyed on its own, as a light lunch or can be part of a feast that your guests can dig in and love you forever 🙂

The secret of success for this amazing appetizer is to use juicy tomatoes, proper feta cheese and good quality olive oil.

Enjoy and impress your family and friends with this simple but delicious dish! If you can’t find any round rusks, then use a french baguette and cut slices. This way, you can make small bruschettas, which can be perfect for a summer party!!
