Updating an Old Stool

Hi everyone!! How is Autumn treating you? Well, I feel quite energetic and ready for lots of DIY around the house. I like to pick different, old and scruffy things that are just lying around and give them life.

My latest easy project was a necessary update of an old stool.

Actually, this was the first time that I updated something like that! You probably know my love for granny squares and this time was no different. Scrap yarn, a stool that is falling apart and a pretty granny square was born 🙂

After I finished the granny square, I used a yarn needle to stitch it on the stool. I thought, at first, that it would be hard to do and it might come loose but, to my surprise, it is steady and straight!

As you can imagine, as soon as I finished it, my daughter claimed ownership of the stool 🙂 I am glad because her room now has a new pretty addition!

And it’s nice when she tells her friends that her mom did it!!

Little by little I am determined to change things around our home. I am full of ideas but not enough time(as always) but I truly enjoy so much this journey of change!

Thanks for reading, liking, sharing and commenting!
