Hello to all my followers and readers!
Today, I am showing you how to make a granny square wall pocket organizer. Crochet wall hanging pockets is a great idea to store anything, from stationery and utilities, to makeup and other accessories. You can use any color combination yarn and any number of pockets. Make it as personal as you like.
It is Monday and a week before school starts (here in Greece)! So projects that have to do with organization are in my to-do list.
If you love organization too, then that’s the kind of project for you! If you love crochet too, then you hit the jackpot!
This granny square wall organizer was created for my daughter to use for her school equipment. She is starting first grade this September and I am trying to find ways to make her work space functional but yet, stylish and girly too!
It was a really fun project to do and I will definitely make another soon. Combining different styles of granny squares and different colors, you can create something for everyone in the family.
As the main body of the organizer, you need to crochet a solid granny square (dimensions: 30cm x 30cm /12 inches x 12 inches).
If you would like to know how to crochet a solid granny square, here is the video from my favorite Bella Coco.
Then, you need to crochet granny squares in different colors and stitch them on the main body, using a yarn needle.
I used a wooden rod to hold it together but you can also use a wooden hanger. Be creative and use any material that can hold your wall pockets.
Here is a video to show you how to make crochet butterflies!! So easy 🙂
Phaedra was really impressed with her new wall pocket organizer. She has already asked another one for her hair accessories! Oh well,…that will be my pleasure 🙂
