DIY Valentine’s Gifts for Him & Her

We all know how a DIY gift makes us feel! It shows that the othe person took time to make for us something special! Okay, you don’t need to be a crafts expert; all you need is a couple of things and then you are ready to go. Just think your loved ones face when they see what you prepared for them; they will love you!! Literally!!
So, I am going to show you two gift ideas! Both ideas are unisex 😉 Both have a very low cost!
I realize that too many ideas can leave us feeling tired only by trying to choose which one to make. I don’t think it is fair to be frustrated at the end of this or quit before you start.
I will show you that simple is best…

Gift 1: A Love Peg

Materials

  • 1 (or more)wooden  peg(s)

  • a heart (made out of any material you like, e.g. cartoon, fabric, button, yarn)

  • a strong glue (or glue gun)

The idea is that you can write a love note or hold a beautiful picture with the peg. This gift takes less than 30 min (including the writting of the note) and you can personalize it in any way you like. You other half will definetely adore it! Simplicity is what you are looking for after all….isn’t it? Well, anyway, for me simple is beautiful!

For my peg I used a crocheted heart(if you know how to crochet, then you can do the same).

Another idea is to write a love message on the peg. Or you could even write around the peg and fill it with sweet messages!

Gift 2: A Jar of Reasons Why I Love You

Materials

  • a jar (whatever size you like)

  • a heart (made out of any material you like, e.g. cartoon, fabric, button, yarn)

  • string (yarn, ribbon or any other type of string you like)

  • a strong glue (or glue gun)

  • little love notes

In this gift idea, you can wrap the jar with the string a few times(you can use some glue to hold it in place). Then, you glue the heart on top of the string. Inside you fill the jar with little love notes: cut up some paper or card and write reasons why you love your other half!! I am sure you will find many to fill the jar!!

For my jar, I used red cotton yarn and I crocheted a heart! Do you like the result? I am happy and I am sure he will be too!

That’s it! Both of my gift ideas are very simple but can really make your other half be really amazed by your creativity! Go for it…
